Character Background

Buggy the Clown is a former member of the legendary Pirate King Gol D. Roger’s crew and later becomes the captain of the Buggy Pirates. Despite his comedic appearance and cowardly tendencies, he is surprisingly resilient and opportunistic.

He gained his powers from the Bara Bara no Mi (Chop-Chop Fruit), a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to split his body into multiple pieces and control them independently. This makes him immune to slashing attacks, as his body can separate instead of being cut. Buggy can also levitate parts of his body, using them offensively or defensively in unpredictable ways.

Over time, through a mix of luck, deception, and exaggerated reputation, Buggy rises in status and becomes one of the most infamous figures in the world, eventually earning the title of one of the Four Emperors (Yonko).
