I bought the Buddy3D Tasting pack PLA, which comes with

I like the filament, and it was a good deal, but when I open a new spool, it unravels like a broken watch spring.
I built a couple of models to help keep the filament on the spool, then realized the answer was to upcycle my empty 1kg spool to make the walls taller.
Reuse the sides of the 1kg spool by flipping them around and threading the extender through the sides with the 250g spool in the middle.
It is a simple solution, but it saves a lot of frustration.
