Update: April 2023 I flew it. No data to back it up, but the flights seemed noticeably better all round. The prop noise was definitely reduced. Not silent by any means, but less noticeable. It flew smoother in bumpy air, with less turbulence-induced pitch and yaw motion. It was also "floatier" and it seemed to have much better glide performance. I had to do a couple go-arounds on landing because I was overshooting the runway. It seemed to cruise somewhat more efficiently, pulling 6-7 amps at in the 35mph range. Not a big reduction there, but maybe 0.5 amp or so, from what I recall.
It seemed to be well attached with just 4 screws, but I also taped/laminated it to the foam for extra strength and smooth air transition.
** Work in progress. As of March 2023, this is untested in flight.

The main objective is to make the wing more efficient and less noisy in flight. The part moves the motor further from the abrupt trailing edge of the airfoil, and transitions it to a thinner profile, so the prop can chop cleaner air. It also moves the motor weight rearward, which allows you to use a slightly heavier battery and still get the correct CG balance. It adds a small amount of wing area, which will help maintain wing loading with any additional battery weight.
Printed with regular PLA, it was about 3 oz and felt heavy (with 3 walls and only 15% infill). The one pictured is printed in light weight PLA (same settings), seems to be strong enough, and is only 1.5 oz. Print with the leading edge down.
