I have always been a fan of day fishing/hiking trips where staying light and organized is essential for a good experience. This model is a 2026 update to my favorite compact lure box, refined through personal use and feedback to fix common frustrations. It is designed specifically for the hobbyist who wants a reliable, efficient way to carry his or her favorite equipment.

I have reinforced both the main body and the lid to ensure they stand up to the rigors of hiking. The lure compartments are now better sized for small, medium, and larger lures (see the included images), and I increased the overall height a bit to allow for better stacking. To give you even more control, I included one to three printable inserts (the main one in five variants) so you can subdivide the space based on your specific need for the trip.

The lure box comes in two variants. The first version includes a dedicated slot for a versatile float that has become a permanent part of my gear (also refined and included). This version also features a specialized hole for a handline handle.

If you prefer more traditional storage, the second variant replaces the float area with two additional standard lure compartments (see my recent uploads for the other variant).

The mounting system features two distinct clip options designed for versatility. You can utilize the integrated attachment points to secure the box to your backpack webbing or a belt loop for quick access. Please be aware that the small side clip is somewhat delicate during the initial installation process; I recommend being careful when snapping it into place. Once in place, it should hold well enough.

Since I've made all these attachment points, I'll probably find other uses for to it, and I'll add them to this page when I do.

As for the lid, it slides easily in place with a little snap at the end. Use a finger to lift up the lid slightly to slide it off again.

Regarding the printing process, I have integrated proprietary supports for the clips. These are much lighter and easier to remove than standard slicer-generated supports, leaving a cleaner finish on the final part.
