Remix of robo-w's KlickFast Dock

This remix adapts the KlickFast system to securely mount a body camera / radio to the radio loop on a shirt. The design is compact, low-profile, and intended for everyday use where a reliable attachment is needed without adding unnecessary bulk.

Design Features

  • Slim opening slides onto the shirt’s radio loop

  • Tight-fitting slot helps prevent movement or accidental detachment during use

  • Secure enough for active movement while remaining easy to remove when needed

  • Compact design stays unobtrusive when no camera or radio is attached

  • Fully compatible with the KlickFast quick-connect system for fast attachment and removal of body camera / radio

Size Variants

I made several iterations while perfecting the size for my shirt. I’ve uploaded all the versions I still have so others can hopefully find one that suits their shirt.

V1

  • Slot length: 29 mm

  • Slot width: 2 mm

  • Opening: 2 mm

V2

  • Lost the file...

V3

  • Slot length: 27 mm

  • Slot width: 2 mm

  • Opening: 2 mm

V4

  • Slot length: 26 mm

  • Slot width: 1.5 mm

  • Opening: 1.5 mm

V4 fits my shirt perfectly with virtually no movement once installed. It takes slightly longer to fit and remove, but the tighter fit makes it worthwhile.

Printing

I recommend printing the model on its side, as shown in the photo below.

Recommended settings:

  • Tree supports

  • Supports touching build plate only

Other settings I used:

  • PLA

  • 15% infill

  • 2 wall loops

I haven’t had any durability issues so far, though PETG would probably be a better option for long-term use. The PLA version I use daily has now split. I’d recommend printing in PETG, especially if you’ll be mounting and removing the camera or radio frequently. I will update further if I experience more issues.

Since this is quite a niche design, I’d really appreciate any feedback if you end up printing or using it.
