My original Spiral Cone Fidget is designed to have tight fit, which can sometimes cause troubles when separating the parts after printing.
This tool can help you separate the parts of Spiral Cone Fidget. Put the separator tool on table, align the fidget and push it down.
Note that the separator STL model is build from SCAD source code and if you modify parameters of the spiral, you might also need to render new separator tool. Separator Tool STL file provided here has been rendered with same parameters as the original Spiral Conde Fidget, which you can download here:
With provided SCAD file, you can render both the fidget and separator tool. Use command:
openscad -o spiral.stl spiral.scad -D 'part_to_render="fidget"'To render the fidget into spiral.stl file and command:
openscad -o spiral_tool.stl spiral.scad -D 'part_to_render="tool"'You need OpenSCAD to be installed on your system and the openscad executable to be in you PATH folders.
