First off, I wanted to upload this as a paid print, only because it took me a lot of time and filament in prototyping, but minimum price was 5$, so here we are - it's free.
This riser is meant for Qidi Q2 with the original riser. The print doesn't require any glue or bolts - it's all snap fit or interference fit.
The only modification needed is removing glass holding tabs from the Qidi riser (from last picture). This is easy to do with no damage to the original riser with screwdriver that came with the printer.
The whole print is divided into 3 print plates:
Plate 1 - Main riser braces (to make the bridges, that hold everything). You can use only these braces and already lift the Qidi Box off of glass.
Plate 2 and 3 - Optional drawers. Plate 2 has everything for drawers with stops, Plate 3 - drawers without stops. There is slight difference in the design, but doesn't matter that much.
Instructions for main riser braces:
After printing Plate 1 you can connect a pair of braces with dovetail pieces. Dovetail pieces should fit snugly (not requiring a hammer, but a firm fit). The front and back braces differ by the connection to the original riser. Front ones fit into glass tab holes. Back braces simply fit into the glass sliding groove (this does limit the maximum movement of glass by about 17mm, but in my experience that's not a problem). It's easiest to fit crossbraces onto braces at an angle first, rather than brute forcing straight on.
Instructions for drawers:
Same as main riser braces, drawer frames are secured together with dovetails (one from front, one from back). The drawer frames "click" into place on top of braces. There are two types of drawer frames and drawers - with stop and without stop. This just means that there's a limit to how far drawer can be pulled to the front. Drawers with stops can be fitted into the frame from the back.
Drawer backs should fit snugly, same idea as dovetails - doesn't quite require a hammer, but should be firm fit with fingers.
Drawer side hooks are just an addition for some quick access tools. I like to hang original Qidi and my custom scraper there.
Notes:
Print time for plate 1 is approximately 21 hours and 330 grams of filament.
Print time for plate 2 or 3 is approximately 46 hours and 1600 grams of filament. These are quite large numbers, because i've set quite aggressive 5 wall loops for everything.
I've tried regular Qidi PETG, Sunlu PETG and Filacraft PETG all in black. While the color stayed the same I had zero problems in filament change mid print.
Only thing I noticed was when I changed filament to blue color for dovetails and drawer side hooks. This is why there is "dovetail large" part because the tolerances changed together with the color change.
Crossbrace can be put both from outside and inside of the main riser braces. I designed the hexagon openings in the crossbrace to fit an M3 screw for anything you might want.
Only supports used are on the "Brace middle" parts.
Drawers are not entirely silent because of their print direction, but in time this gets more and more silent.
You can assemble everything first and then fit it all in one piece onto the original riser.
Drawers are meant to be printed on their "face".
