Holds one 18650 battery and is compatible with Magpul MOE pistol grips. The plug fits into the recess inside the tube to retain the battery when the core is removed. Tested over 200 times (I got bored).
Print the core in PET-CF (PET-GF will likely also work). 0.4mm nozzle, 0.12-0.2mm layer height, 100% infill, 4 walls, arachne generator, brim enabled, tree supports painted on the tab overhang and cap retaining slot area. Paint the internal z-seam in a vertical line to make it easier to file smooth if needed.
Print the cap in 95A TPU (at some point I will test PEBA and SEBS). 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 100% infill, 2 walls, arachne generator, normal supports on the large recess.
The reason I specify PET-CF is because when I printed a minimally remixed version in PLA Pro, the tab held weakly and stopped being elastic after a few dozen cycles. I tried reinforcing the tab, but then it was too stiff and broke. I tried lengthening the reinforced tab to reduce the deflection, but it likewise lost elasticity. The only answer I could find without designing it to use metal springs was to change materials. I have not tried annealing the PET-CF, but likely will in the future. Adjustments to the tab geometry would likely need to be made for various nylons. I may test at some point in Sunlu PA6-CF, Sunlu Easy PA, and SirayaTech PPA-GF Core.
