Fork <== you are here
Description
This is a swiveling fork for use with my Turntable trolley.
You will need to print 1 forkBar and 2 forkArms. The fork arms are friction fit into the fork bar, glue should not be necessary.
If the chain is wanted, then also print once each chainHooks and chainLong parts. The chain assembles the same way as the trolley coupling chain.
The fork should need some force to insert into the turntable hole, that is intentional. Once in, it should turn freely. To remove it, use some pliers to compress the forkArm axle halves from below, and then push it out.
There is a break platform with a head board, to protect the break man from the load. This can be used instead of the normal break platform that is included in the turntable trolley model.
There is a short coupling pin. That should be used on turntable trolleys with forks, to prevent the load that lies on the forks from snagging on the coupling pin. (The standard coupling pin that is included in the tipper trolley is just a bit to high.)
This model contains only the fork and associated parts. The turntable trolley frames can be found at: Turntable trolley; the remaining needed parts are in the model: G scale tipper trolley.
Printing
All parts are already oriented for printing.
I used PETG via 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layer height with default settings in Prusaslicer.
No supports are needed.
