Custom luggage tag template for tracing out the leather pattern. This is two parts, the body, which you will want to trace out 2 pieces for the front and back, plus the tab for the snap to hole the window flap closed while traveling.
From the pictures you can see that you just use the outline and strap slot for the back piece.
For the front you'll want to scribe the outline and the window flap, stitch lines.
The pictures show an earlier version with the full stitch line, but. I found that makes the template a little floppy and hard to trace a straight edge. So the latest model just puts in pin holes to dot the leather so you can scribe your own stitch line.
My stitch line was about 5mm off the edge, which seems pretty secure and leaves plenty of room for the card that you will slip between the top and bottom pieces.
For the print, I used PolyMaker PolyTerra PLA - Charcoal Black, my new favorite.
3 layers all around, bottom, sides/edges and top with Gyroid fill at 15%, using a 0.6 head.
Since this is a tracing tool I made it 3mm think so it's pretty beefy as I wanted something durable that wouldn't break down from use and would hold it's shape when tracing out the perimeter of the pieces.
