A simple 5 note set of chimes to hang outside your porch or window.
I used 40lb test nylon twine, however I think you could get away with any fish line or twine that is weather and sun resistant.
The two top halves should be glued and clamped once the gongs have been hung. The ring fits in the track on each half to assist with alignment. I used a generous helping of gorilla glue in the track on each section as well as on the flat mating surface of each. clamp overnight or so.
The striker is sliced to have a ring of hexagonal pockets inside that will fit M6 nuts. You'll need 12 of them.
There's a button inclided if you feel like tying around that to support the striker instead of simply knotting the cord up until it sits in place. Dealer's choice.
For the gongs, I used 1/2" stainless tubing, cut at 14", 13", 12", 11", and 10" but I think it's going to be a bit of trial and error with what you have to get the sound you want.
