A chiming hybrid analog/digital clock and weather station.

ChronoSphere is a feature-packed, Arduino-powered weather clock that blends timekeeping, environmental monitoring, mechanical animation, and ambient lighting into one stunning 3D-printed desktop centerpiece.

At its heart is an Arduino Nano Every driving a rich array of hardware: a DS3231 real-time clock module with battery backup ensures accurate timekeeping, while an AHT21 temperature/humidity sensor, BMP280 barometric pressure sensor, and BH1750 ambient light sensor continuously monitor your environment.

Time is shown across a 12-character color-coded alphanumeric display system — three 4-character HT16K33 modules in green, amber, and red — that intelligently changes color based on comfort level, displaying temperature three ways: raw Fahrenheit, NOAA-calculated "feels like," and a charming four-letter descriptor (FROZ, COLD, CHLY, COOL, NICE, WARM, COZY, TOSY, HOT, or SCOR).

A 28BYJ48 stepper motor drives an animated minute hand with precision-timed 2048-step-per-hour motion, A VS1053 MIDI audio module plays classic hourly chimes — Westminster, Whittington, and St. Michael's — on your choice of General MIDI instrument (Tubular Bells, Glockenspiel, Vibraphone, and more), with configurable chime frequency and weather-triggered alerts.

WS2812 addressable RGB LEDs add dynamic ambient lighting effects, and a rotary encoder with pushbutton provides an intuitive menu for setting the time, choosing chimes, adjusting alert thresholds, and cycling through display modes including rolling billboards of current, historical, and trend/prediction data — all built with a modular PlatformIO C++ architecture running comfortably within the Nano Every's memory footprint.
