I wanted a slim lid that wouldn't fall off during grinding. Thanks to the flap design, it fits snugly and stays put. Because of the slim profile, you also don't have to worry about accidentally bumping or catching it with your hand during use.
I highly recommend printing this in PETG or another material that handles long-term elastic deformation well. PLA tends to sag (creep) over time under constant tension, which might eventually cause it to loosen. In my testing, a PLA version still had enough force to hold during grinding after two weeks, but my PETG version has already lasted for a few months without any loss in tension.
