I have several wall-mounted outdoor lamps from Brilliant AG, model Brilliant Aberdeen Outdoor Wall Lamp. Over time, the original white plastic lampshades became yellowed from weather and UV exposure, making the fixtures look worn despite still being fully functional.
Unfortunately, replacement lampshades are not available separately, leaving the option of either replacing the entire lamp or finding an alternative solution. To avoid unnecessary waste and expense, I designed this replacement lampshade and printed them myself.
The lampshade is printed in PETG, which offers good durability and weather resistance for outdoor use, with 15% gyroid infill for a balance of strength, material efficiency, and print time. And in my case for testing with fuzzy skin.
This design helps extend the life of existing lamps, reducing both costs and environmental impact by replacing only the part that has deteriorated rather than the entire fixture.
