Building #3 for my HO scale steel mill switching layout.
In an integrated steel mill environment, the Electric Furnace processes molten steel from the blast furnace as well as remelting scrap steel arriving at the mill. My environment is pretty limited so this one is simulating a much larger building imagined off-layout with just the end protruding into "reality".
Once again, I've taken inspiration from a wide variety of sources and this is what I came up with. I still have a bunch of super-detailing to figure out (pipes, ducts, power cabling, etc. some of which you can see developing in the Sketchup screen snip) but I wanted to get the basic building model posted. I'll add updated photos as I make progress on the micro-details.
This one is all 0.40/0.20 prints. I've included a few 3MF files where I used some small amounts of supports. The front slab is designed to receive HO track with the ties removed (CA glue the track in place using spacers).
