Presentation
This is an ATX mount and its I/O shield for AsRock BC250 board.
It fits ATX, micro-ATX and most probably ITX cases. Requires ~31cm length from back to front.
2 variants are available:
High-profile variant (22mm high)
Active RAM cooling, by the mean of either 92x15mm, 80x15mm or 80x10mm fan
Stacking height might create clearance issue if used in combination with a high cooler and a narrow case
Low-profile variant (8mm high)
Enables more clearance between tower coolers and the case's side-panel.
You must ensure proper backplate ventilation
Updates
03-oct-26 : added low profile fans sleeves, fans mount on top of the sleeve instead of under. These require less filament and are faster to print.
17-aug-26 : the backplate fan can be now mounted on a removable and sliding plate, which allows for a precise fan location.
03-jul-26 : added 80mm fan mounts to the high-profile model, in order to get the option to use an 80x10mm fan and get more clearance from the case's side panel
09-jun-26 - high profile model: relocated the fan to give space between fan and backplate + reinforced fan shrouds to avoid rumbling
Installation
Install 5 x M3 heated inserts on the adapter (5mm diameter, length 4-6mm). 3 on top, 2 on the side for the IO shield.
Slide the board backplate into the adapter, from the front to the back. Secure the board to the adapter using 2 x M3 screws at IO side. Install and tighten the latch near the battery if you plan to use is vertically, using an M3 screw.
Remove case's threaded posts. Fix the adapter directly to the case, using 3.5mm screws (PC Case / PSU style). If posts are not removable, drill the adapter's mounting holes.
Install the IO shield using 2 x M3 screws.
Install optional 180° connectors to route USB2/3 into the case : https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0BNKFSQHZ
Cooling Options
CPU Cooler Mount
You can use my AM5 CPU Cooler Mount, which should be suitable with most air coolers:
Original Heatsink
In addition, a shroud is proposed to be installed on top of the standard bc250 heatsink (single fan and dual fan sleeves). These sleeves install directly to the side-holes of the adaptor, using 4 x 5mm tapered fan screws.
Only compatible with high-profile model at the moment.
