Glove Backbone / Shaper
Keep your gloves in perfect shape, even when crammed into a gear bag! The Glove Backbone is designed to hold the internal form of your glove wherever you take it, preventing it from getting crushed or deformed.
Post-Processing & Shaping
Customization: You will find a model labeled Blank-backbone, which has a blank underside giving you the freedom to create your own design. All I ask is that you post your design in the makes tab to inspire others.
Heat fitting required: You will need a heat gun (or a hair dryer on its highest setting) to custom-fit the mold.
Caution: Heat the print gradually. Be careful not to overheat it, or the plastic will collapse and melt. You want it just flexible enough to shape without losing its structural integrity.
Recommended Print Settings
Material: PETG or ABS is highly recommended. Because this item is meant for outdoor use or inside hot gear bags, PLA runs a high risk of warping or melting in the sun.
