This application is to be used outdoors.  ABS and ASA are best for heat resistance, however ASA also provides UV protection.

All parts can be printed with the wide face down and without supports.

There are 2 versions of the Enclosure; one standard (with hole and support for a switch) and one without the switch. There are also 2 versions of the Base; one standard (without a hole for a magnet) and one with a hole for a magnet. You can mix and match.

Parts Needed:

  1. A Racebox Micro

  2. TP4056 Battery Charger Module, off Amazon.

  3. Optional: Tactile Push Button Switch Cap off Amazon. I purchased as a kit with 12x12x7.3mm Push Button switches.

  4. Optional, you can leave always on: SS12D10 Toggle Switch off AliExpress.

  5. 2 M2 screws and screw inserts to hold the Racebox down + 3 M3 screws and screw inserts to fasten the base to the enclosure.  Purchased a screw kit and an insert kit off Amazon.

  6. MakerHawk 3.7V 1,100mAh LiPo Battery off Amazon.  Larger batteries may not fit.  The Racebox Mini uses 1,100mAh.

  7. Optional: If using the version of the base that holds a magnet, Neodymium Disc Magnets 1.26" x 1/8" (32mm x 3mm).  I purchased twice from Amazon but received magnets with diameter of 28mm, so purchased from Walmart and got the right size of about 31.8mm.

Wiring:

The way I have the switch wired is as a battery cutoff. This means that in order to charge the battery the switch will have to be put to the ON position, otherwise it's completely disconnected from the charge board and the Racebox. I did it this way to ensure there will be no current draw from the TP4056 board. Feel free to wire it however you please.
