The SRAM S7 (and similar) hub gearbox operates by two rods being pushed into the hub by an external clickbox, which often breaks. This bracket replaces a broken clickbox to permanently set the 4th gear, which is direct drive and a nice ratio for singlespeed. To set the 4th gear, the outer, hollow rod must be set to a central position. The position of the inner rod doesn't matter.
Parts needed:
M4 threaded insert (Might salvage from original clickbox)
M4 screw with pointed end (salvage thumbscrew form original clickbox or use a file on a normal screw)
Material:
I used PLA+ with solid walls, will report back if it works long term. Best would be ASA.
Assembly:
Loosen the thumb screw on the clickbox and pull it off the axle.
remove the red plastic piece and the inner rod, but keep the outer (hollow) rod.
Place the bracket on the rod and insert the set screw, making sure that the the screw interfaces with the groove on the axle.
Please give feedback if this works for you!
