Mallet Winder Accessories

I have created some functional accessories and other aesthetic modifications to the awesome mallet wrapping machine!

1) Stick Head Length Guide: 40mm shaft distance. I have found this to be a nice sweet spot for my mallets.

2) Magnet Holder 8mm: I had 8mm magnets from Harbor Freight on hand and opted to use these, which required an adapter.

3) Magnet Blank Insert: You only need 1x magnet to sense rotation, so I created a space-filling blank.

4) Yarn Puller: It is very difficult to feed yarn through the machine currently, so I printed essentially a very long and flexible yarn needle to pull the yarn through via eyelet.

5) Sensor Cap: My sensor is orange, and my whole unit is blue. I hated the color clash, so I printed a cover that snaps on. Purely aesthetic modification with no magnetic interference.

6) Sensor Sleeve: This was designed to cover the back half of the sensor. There is just enough friction between the sensor module and the surface to keep it in place. The raised semicircle accounts for the sloped, raised design on one side of the sensor holder.

7) Copper Washer: I used a pair of tin snips to cut a #14 SAE brass washer in half and E6000 to adhere it to the front of the winding mechanism. My goal was to avoid melting the plastic from friction.
