I wanted a mouse support that gave me a wider base than the default wrist straps, and would stay on when I need to pick up the Joy Con 2 controller for other use. Consider how Pokémon Pokopia, Metroid 4 Prime, Star Seeker, and Star Fox all support rapid change into and out of Mouse Mode.

Full-palm grips require you to pluck out the controller when you may only want to use it for a moment of precise action. These provide a minimal grip, friction fit so not to drop or require two-hand removal, and you can even lay your joy cons down on their backs and have them level with your table surface.

This model has no moving parts and uses a close friction fit on the colorful protrusion of the Joy Con 2. If you feel this is too tight, you can either adjust the model by scaling up in that direction by say .2mm or with a little post-processing.

Status/player LEDs are visible in both versions. The chiral version provides a wing to serve as a level stand when laying your joy con on its back for games where you might swap between mouse mode and normal joy con mode frequently as well as a little place to set your ring finger.

Mine are all printed in PETG, and I like the look when printing in one, two, and three colors using layer filament changes. I like cubic infill for transparent filaments. Set top layers to "concentric"  to minimize post processing of rough texture from linear infill options.

Additionally, this fits well over my 8 Game Card and wrist strap holder, if you want to keep things tidy in a bag or case. Consider printing the minimal wrist strap holder also to carry your wrist straps too, as this provides you NO SAFETY from tossing a joy con at a television. (The in-CAD support piece from the minimal wrist strap holder was actually the inspiration for this model.)
