Hi everyone!

I designed my own system of modular combat spinning tops, capable of delivering proper battles. The entire system is designed so you can build your spinning top exactly to your liking and try out different tactics.

The pack includes 25 different weapons/disks and a custom 200x200 mm Battle Arena with guardrails. The weapons are divided into three types (categorized at my discretion):

  • Attack: red and yellow color

  • Defense: green color

  • Stamina (neutral): white color

With a good launch and assembly, your spinning top can easily spin for up to 2 minutes.

The best thing about the system is the combo potential. Each disk has a universal center, so if you use a longer center pin, you can stack up to 3 weapons at once. This allows you to create a hybrid—for example, a bottom focused on stamina, a middle for defense, and a top that delivers heavy hits.

📏 Technical Details

  • Spinning Top Size: 46 mm x 46 mm

  • Height: 29.7 mm – 37.7 mm (depending on whether you stack 1, 2, or 3 weapons)

  • Gear System: Custom designed gear with a 5.5 mm radius and 16 teeth to ensure a smooth and powerful energy transfer during launch.

⚔ The Complete Arsenal (List of STL Parts)

For better navigation through the files, here is a complete list of all parts. I recommend printing them in colors according to their focus:

🏟 BATTLE ARENA

  • Battle Arena (200x200 mm optimized shell design with safety guardrails to keep the tops inside)

⬛ CORE PARTS (Core & Launcher)

  • Core Axis 1x, Core Axis 2x, Core Axis 3x (Center pins based on the number of weapons)

  • Launcher Bottom & Launcher Top (Two-part launcher)

  • Power Ripcord (Pull cord)

  • Spin Cap (Top locking nut with gear teeth)

  • Spin Core (Bottom spinning tip)

🔴 RED: Sharp Attack (7 parts)

Cerberus | Razor Star | Scythe | Shredder | The Ripper | Tri-Strike | Viper

🟡 YELLOW: Smash Attack (6 parts)

Bonecrusher | Meteor | Rhino | Sledgehammer | The Tread | Torq

🟢 GREEN: Defense (6 parts)

Aegis | Blockade | Bulwark | Golem | Phalanx | Titan

⚪ WHITE: Stamina / Balance (6 parts)

Endurance Block | Infinity | Nimbus | Orbit | Vortex | Zephyr

🖨 Printing Tips

I made sure the models are completely "print-friendly". Every part already has a 0.1 mm tolerance built into the design, which is perfectly suited for 3D printing. This ensures the parts fit together nicely, and you won't have to force them or sand anything down. The threads also have their angles adjusted for FDM printers, so everything prints without supports (no supports).

  • Material: I definitely recommend PETG (or ABS/ASA).

  • Perimeters (walls): Set at least 4 perimeters. This is important – the parts will be heavier on the edges (which helps with momentum) and most importantly, it reinforces the parts against impacts.

  • Infill: 20% (Gyroid or Grid).

  • Print speed: For parts like the pins, the top cap with gears, and the ripcord, I recommend printing the outer walls at a slower speed to maintain the quality and precision of the teeth/threads. The other parts (weapons) can easily be printed faster.

  • Arena: Designed as a material-saving shell. Despite its 200x200 mm size, it prints easily without any supports!

🔧 How to Assemble

Launcher: Needs to be assembled. Use the alignment pegs to join it; for maximum strength, I highly recommend adding a drop of superglue (cyanoacrylate).

Spinning top assembly:

  1. Choose the length of your center pin (you have versions for 1, 2, or 3 weapons).

  2. Slide the bottom part (Spin Core) onto it.

  3. Stack the weapons of your choice from the arsenal.

  4. Tighten it firmly with the top gear part (Spin Cap).

  5. Place the spinning top into the launcher, insert the Power Ripcord, and you're ready to play!

I hope you enjoy the model and I wish you many victorious battles! Oliver
