The original is great, I just wanted something a little stronger. The Birdbuddy hummingbird feeder weighs a decent amount more that didn't rely on the 3D print as an attachment point.
This model needs the following hardware, commonly available from most major home improvement stores:
(2) 1/4" Flat washers
(1) 1/8" OR 3/16" S hook
(1) 1/4" x 2" eye bolt
(1) 1/4" Hex Nut
(1) 1/4" Rod Coupling Nut
(1) 1/4" x 4-1/14" Clothesline Hook
The Sequence for stacked assembly from top to bottom is:
Eye Bolt
1/4" Hex Nut
Flat Washer
3D printed ant moat
Flat Washer
Rod Coupling Nut
Clothesline Hook
The only requirement to make this work is to ensure that the flat washers are tight against the top and bottom surfaces of the 3D print to ensure that ants can't just walk through, but otherwise, it should be a solid build!
