Starseeker E55 Pro Catch Cup Adapter

The Starseeker E55 Pro is a great value coffee grinder, and has become my espresso workhorse over the last few weeks. The only downside to this grinder has been the included catch cup.

The stock catch cup has sharp corners at the bottom inside the cup where fine coffee grinds like to get stuck. While I like the all black aesthetic, I would've preferred a brushed stainless or mirror polished inner surface and curved bottom corners to prevent this issue.

That's where this adapter comes in!

I made this adapter to use my 3rd party dosing cup instead, and added a mid-print magnet so the dosing cup/adapter combo will slide into place just like the stock cup does. Here's what I used:

1x 18mm x 3mm magnet - No link, plenty of options on Aliexpress and Amazon though.

Make sure your nozzle isn't crazy magnetic (the magnet is friction fit though so it should stay in place), and you'll also want to check that your magnet is oriented correctly. It should be the correct orientation if it is wanting to pull towards your magnetic print bed.

I paused the print at layer 17 printing at 0.2mm layer height to insert the magnet (be sure the magnet is pressed all the way down so it doesn't collide with your nozzle!). I also printed mine in PETG for durability.
