My towel holder's original plastic collets that held it in place in its wall mount have long since worn away. For the longest time I was just balancing the metal ring in the sleeve, but it would fall out all the time. I got tired of doing that, so I took some measurements with my digital caliper and hopped into FreeCAD to whip up a replacement part.
Printed these out of transparent PETG on my trusty MK4S, glued them in place with some Gorilla Glue, and now the ring stays in place again when holding up a towel.
I printed these at 20% infill, 0.20 mm layer height. Make sure the hole is facing up in your slicer.
