Design statement:
In order to create a successful spinning top you must use revolve, circular sketch pattern, and cuts to create a spinning top fit for battle.
Constraints
Must be 3.5 cm tall
Must have a total diameter of 7 cm
Must have a launching peg to connect to a launching mechanism
Instructions
Open the provided launching peg into SOLIDWORKS.
2.Make the tops outline in the box below the laughing peg also adding in the tip that it spins on.
After outlining the shape of the top use the Revolve feature to make a circular 3d top.
In order to create spikes, holes, etc you need to sketch where you want them to be. Then using the cut feature you cut out the area you sketched to create a spike. After you have the spike you can circular sketch pattern that one spike as many times around as you want. You can also repeat these steps with holes around the inside.(Inside red circle is where you need to cut).
Design changes:
#1 : The original top was too small and could not compete against bigger and stronger tops as it kept getting hit out of the ring due to Newtons 3rd Law of Motion which states every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Which means the heavier you are the harder you are to move.

#2: I decided I wanted to make a different top focused more on stamina and defense rather than attack and offense. In order to do this I needed to change the outline sketch of the tops body and revolve that. After revolving I made a different cut on the edge which I can ten circular sketch pattern.
