This is a cap specifically made to cover up a hole cut out for a Whirlpool washing machine that lacks an easy access port on the front or sides.
Be prepared for the amount of dumb in this story, and remember that cutting holes in your appliances can (and probably will) void any manufacturers warranty.
I have a Whirlpool WFW7590FW front-loading clothes washer, with a matching dryer stacked on top (and which is secured down to the washer). It's basically in a closet, with less than 4 inches on either side for any kind of storage or access to the water works. AND it's in a drain pan, making movement of the entire stack nearly impossible without breaking something. This washer is notorious for eating up small items, like tiny socks or (in our case) makeup washcloths, and those items clogging up the drain filter. In order to get to the filter, you must access the back of the washer and unbolt the panel.
After having a home warranty technician come out twice for the same problem (and yes, we had to break the drain pan), this last time I got a good clear look from the back of the washer to the front. There's nothing in the way, no electrical, no tubing, just sheet metal.
The solution was a 5 1/4 inch hole saw, some decent edge trim, and this plug (to keep my cat from attempting to explore).
I used this hole saw:
And this trim:
I'm a complete novice with CAD style programs, but I did a basic attempt with this plug. Once the trim was on, the hole was 131mm wide, threw on a brim to round it out to 140mm total. The extra circular part is just for retention, though it's already a snug fit.
