Long story short: I bought the GCMCE from bitfunx and was bummed that it isn't available in solid black. Also it has this hideous bump on the bottom.
So I spent way too much time designing a custom case and even managed to fit the whole thing into a much smaller and cleaner looking form factor. I added all features from the original Nintendo Memory cards, such as the grip ripples on the sides and the logos. Also I added a proper button for the side switch. Before, you had to stick a needle or something into a hole, missing the actual button half the time, while trying to plug the USB cable with your non-existent third hand, which is just annoying and lazy design.
I'll upload the stl files soon and post the link. Maybe someone wants to follow along in a matching color to their GC.

Printed on a Mk4 in PLA with a 0.25 nozzle and 0.07 layer height.
You will have to shorten the 2 longer screws to the same length as the short ones
The side button is supposed to be superglued into the bottom shell with its tail.
