Print Options:                                                          NOTE: KEYBOARD MUST HAVE FLIP LEGS FULLY EXTENDED

                                  Low Profile                                      |                                      Full Profile

Everything you need for both types is included in separate folders and the only difference between them is the side insert and cutout's width.

Print Recommendations:

I recommend printing the two halves on their side to remove layer lines over the fillets of the case, oriented in a way such that the layer lines go ACROSS. (Pic for reference)

Supports - Yes; normal type.

If you have a 0.2mm nozzle, I HIGHLY recommend printing the Badge & Badge Lines using the 0.2mm nozzle, the 0.4mm nozzle is fine for everything else.

A 0.2mm layer height came out great for me, if you would like smaller go for it; smaller is smoother but increases print time.

Brims & Glue are helpful for difficulties with smaller parts.

Needed Materials:

  • Two or Four 50mm Long Dowel rods. (¼” or 6.2mm) (or can be printed)

  • 3d Printer w/ BOTH 0.2mm and 0.4mm nozzle. (across separate prints)

  • 5x rubber/furniture feet (optional and placed in corners and center)

************************************************  Instructions  ************************************************

Print in whatever order you prefer, the big pieces take the longest at (for me) ~4.5hrs in sets of 2 w/ a 0.4mm nozzle @ a 0.2mm layer height.
The small pieces are finicky so take your time and look over my recommendations,

and use bed glue if needed.
(Mostly just the Badge Lines and Badge)

Badge & Badge Lines:

The badge has holes for the lines to slide in and everything can be glued down to the left top case piece. The badge should be printed in two colors: Gray and White/Silver. (2)
The lines are each four different colors: Red, Orange/Yellow, Green, Blue/Purple. (4)

Case Pieces/Halves:

The assembly for all case pieces is the same, just two 50mm long 1/4in or 6.2mm dowel rods are enough to hold the two left and right together halves and a bit of glue to keep it from rotating works great.
If using the printed dowels, printing vertically is easier and more accurate but less strong. Printing horizontally is stronger but more likely to be oval-ish and need tuning in the slicer. I would do vertical unless you have anger issues.

Side Insert:

For Low Profile: Glue in as normal, choose whether the shimmery side (build plate surface) is visible or not.
For Full Profile: Glue into only the bottom half or top half but not both. Top & Bottom should remain removable.

Keyboard & Case:

The top is a simple drop-in design, regardless of low or normal profile it drops on top of the keyboard and fits in place effortlessly.
The bottom is a little less easy to in order to save material, so you must carefully place the keyboard’s feet on the bottom’s feet rests. Once all are stable drop the top on and press it down, they should friction fit together.

This would be absolutely amazing to be seen made into a raspberry pi c64/retro games emulator or something of the sort, happy printing! :)
