Compact Ant Nest with Mesh Hydration
Compact ant nest with mesh hydration.
Cotton wool or a small sponge can be placed in the lower tray and moistened with water. The moisture is released into the nest through the mesh.
A 70 × 50 × 2 mm acrylic plate is required.
Printing Notes
Mesh:
Print "mesh" without top and bottom layers.
Recommended: 40% Cross-Hatch / Cross-Zigzag infill
Base:
Print with at least 3 walls so that M3 screws or threaded inserts have enough material to grip.
For extra stability, 4 walls can also be used.
The entrance is designed for 14 × 10 mm tubing.
Other tube sizes can be adjusted on request, but so far only 14 × 10 mm has been tested.
