This tray is designed specifically to hold a maximum of 41 empty .303 British casings in a compact form factor.

Dimensions are 3.5" square, about .5" thick. 25 casings are placed rim down in the large holes, and 16 neck down in the small holes; this allows for a maximum of 41 casings. Due to the quirks of the various Lee Enfield Rifles, unsized casings may not fit perfectly into the neck-down holes; I've tried to increase the size to accommodate the dimensions and profile of fired .303 while keeping it reasonably snug. It works for brass fired from my rifle, but YMMV with fitting unsized casings in the small holes. When used with full-length sized casings (I have not been able to test with neck-sized), these should be able to be loosely stacked on one another safely. When storing unsized casings, the neck-down casings tend to have their rims a bit higher than the mouths of the rim down ones; if these are relatively even, you might still be able to stack trays.

In addition to storage, I use these to stage casings through sizing and trimming, then back to storing until loading. I do not recommend using these for drying. A tray can, of course, also be used as a 25 rnd loading tray at the end of the process. They are only meant to store casings, and not loaded rounds.
