Yes, you can buy a soil sieve easily but where's the fun in that? :) This is my second version after the first (unpublished) broke in multiple places after a few hours of use. The uploaded model is improved in many aspects and has been used without a single problem so far.

I uploaded different sizes, print the one you can or want. The larger one needs a Core One L or larger bed, the smaller prints on a Core One or MK4S as well.

Print settings

I uploaded a project as an example but here are the details:

  • I suggest using the tallest layer height to save time, I tried both 0.28mm height with a 0.4 nozzle, and 0.4mm height with a 0.6 nozzle.

  • Split the model into parts.

  • For the walls with the handles, use 30-35% infill to add rigidity.

  • Enable snug supports everywhere for the handles, since you might not have space to build organic supports from the build plate.

  • The bottom part needs some "part modifiers":

    • 0 top and bottom solid layers to expose the infill, and 3 perimeters on the sides.

    • 20-25% honeycomb infill based on the exact hole size you want, I used 22% for about 5mm hole sizes.

    • Infill extrusion width of 1mm to have stronger "walls" on the infills.

    • Infill/perimeters overlap 30% to merge the edge of the infill better with the perimeters.
