multi center finder (multiple subdivisions)

Center marker for multiple subdivisions.

Center markers are ok if you only want the middle, but as soon as you need another uniform subdivision, things won’t work anymore. This is due to the cylinder-shaped guide, which induces errors that grow with the angle that the finder has with the workpiece (its vertical to be correct).

Since I needed one (wanted one), I created my own, which eliminates this error by using triangles instead of cylinders. Markings are (1,2,3,4) above the holes to indicate the number of equally spaced lines and equivalent percentages below the holes. So, if you want e.g. 3 lines (which will divide your workpiece into 4 sections), then you would use the holes labelled « 3 ».

The model can be resized. Markings remain correct as long as the thickness of the workpiece does not drop below 50% of the gap between the triangles.

I printed it upside down to avoid supports and I used these parameters:

• Core One L, 0.4mm nozzle

• 0.15mm layer height

• 2 walls minimum

• 3 bottom layers

• 5 top layers

• ASA
