Self designed 832mm long scimitar with only about 260 grams weight. Sized similar to LARP blades. Works well for drow and elves as well as naturally a ton of other concepts.

Printable on small printer like the MK series and CoreOne. Bigger printer recommended for structural integrity and less parts. Can be printed flat in halves for higher strength or upright in parts for easier post processing. Upright can cause heavy blade wobble at the very fine tip curve, thus I'd invest more time into post processing and print it flat with 0.1mm or finer layers for detail.

Recommended to be printed flat with 0.1mm layers in halves and bonded together. The 3MF is how I printed and sliced the blade for my large format printer.

Perimeter totalling about 3mm recommended for strength of the actual blade. Ideally split the blade and grip into two "projects". Print the blade with 15% honecomb infill and the grip with 100% infill to shift the weight back. Not required but feels very nice in the hand this way. Set minium top and bottom thickness to 1mm

Use PETG if possible for more flexibility, PLA might be a bit too brittle. ABS shoud work too and allows acetone welding of all parts

Once all parts are bonded together, sand everything down roughly. Then use filler and use progressively finer grits with wet-sanding till about 600 grit. Airbrush the blade and wrap the grip in fabric or leather for contrast. Since the blade has a huge flat top, you can go wild with decorations.
