Just a simple riser. No vents to leak hot air. No textures to use more filament and print time. There are four parts, joined with dovetails.
I made this for myself, to give clearance for the tubes and wires from the printhead, which rub along the inside of the lid. Another reason is so that I could add a layer of insulation inside the glass, which is a major area of heat loss.
No support needed if printed flat on the bed. No extra hardware needed for assembly. The dovetail joints have a small clearance, if it is too much for you, add a little glue or putty.
I used two walls, five top and bottom surfaces and 10% infill. Each part uses around 60 grams of filament, for a total of about 250 grams for the project.
I suggest using a heat resistant material. The riser can easily get above 50 degrees C when using chamber heating. I used ASA, and there are plenty of other filaments that will not distort at that sort of temperature.
Beware of shrinkage. The Elegoo black ASA I used shrinks about 0.5% after printing. Not much for small prints, but that's almost 2mm in this large assembly. I've found different colours, different brands and different materials vary in shrinkage amount.
It might be useful to print a calibration block first, with the same material and printer settings. The parts can easily be scaled in the slicer to compensate. I needed to scale the ASA print to 100.5%. My PLA prototype didn't need scaling at all.
