Knobs and shroud for potentiometer
This 3D-printable set lets you fit a knob onto a trimmer potentiometer (trimpot), making it easy to adjust by hand. It was designed to provide a more intuitive and visually appealing way to tune a trimpot, especially when demonstrating a breadboarded project.
Instead of reaching for a screwdriver every time an adjustment is needed, you can simply turn the knob with your fingers for quick, convenient tuning.
Assembly
Fit pole onto trimpot.
Push base over the body of the trimpot.
Press knob onto pole (Optional).
Notes:
The pole is a interference fit, so it'll be awkward the first time it's fitted into a trimpot. It also means it'll stop holding onto the trimpot's shaft if its removed and placed back again several times.
Not all trimpots are alike! You might have to change the width or length of the base. The pole should be a one size fits all though (Within reason).
No support material is needed if printed in the correct orientation (See last image of gallery).
