Ruby Rose's Crescent Rose scythe, brought in three parts to Dummy 13! Version 0.1, the first beta, still untested.
This is a quick kitbash of Jcach's model over on Thingiverse (liscense permitting). The scythe does not transform, unfortunately, but should hold up to 3D printing and moderate play.
I split the scythe in 3 parts, attaching at each intersection with a Dummy 13 Staff segment sliding into a corresponding socket. Thus, the scythe can be held in a closed two-hand grip, one hand just under the blade and one just behind the trigger. I also made the bolt handle into a grip, tilted at a slight forward angle for dramatic holding.
Provided are the 3 STLs of the three segments of the scythe, plus a .3mf from Bambu Studios where I played with potential print configurations and coloring. If you have access to multicolor printing or just want to admire the model in colors, the .3mf contains a few color configurations -- one set is black-red, and another version of the blade is black-red-grey, the most accurate to the show.
Scale: 150%!!! This is just my personal default scale. This brings out the model to around 200mm in height. The 100% scale should behave okay, as this kitbash uses a 130% scaling of Jcach's original CR, so it ought to be fairly chunky even at smaller sizes.
Tested: Not yet!!! I don't yet have access to my printers quite yet, and I made this model in anticipation of some testing in the near future. I expanded the socket holes to 102% the size of the positive plugs, which will hopefully form a fair fit when printed, but I do not yet know.
Looking: Pretty rough!!! While building, I failed to notice how bad the grip position on the top looks -- it seems like the Dummy hand may just barely be able to not intersect the hook on the back of the main blade, and it's way higher up on the scythe than it seemed while modeling. I will attempt to fix this in future designs, but for this first model, it was the easiest place to slip the Dummy 13 grip, and it's what I went for.
Thank you to Jcach for the lovely design, 11 years young, and thank you to whoever checks this out! Let me know how it turns out :D
