This diffuser acts as a water pressure dampener to slow down the flow from high pressure water lines (I tested with 80 psi and it holds up well). The detachable ground spike is more fragile than I would have liked but ended up including it in this model as an optional print.
I used this diffuser to soak the roots of freshly planted trees. As pictured, I used the ground spike to keep the diffuser upright, but works ok fully on the ground as well. Since there's water coming out everywhere, the seal for the garden hose does not matter.
The thread is GHT sized.
