Years ago I broke the plastic chain guard on my wife's Comet aluminium bike leaving just a section (see photo). I searched for a replacement at the time but failed. Now that I have a 3D printer and some time I thought I'd design and print this replacement.
I printed it in PLA, if it breaks I'll probably re-print in PC (which I think the original was made from). Or I'll use the stone style PETG I have because it might look a bit more fun than plain white PC.
I re-used the couple of original screws (bit rusty now, the bike's probably >20 years old) and cut down new screws for the other holes.
