I wanted to set up rear remote feed from a dryerbox but also wanted to do something about the fact that the order of the gates on the printer is 1, 2, 3 ,4 but the feeder order is 1, 2, 4, 3. This requires the feed lines from 3 and 4 to be crossed. This was making me Unreasonably Annoyed.

I was not able to find a way to do this in firmware, so came up with this silly thing, which mounts the feeders in an opposed fashion such that the gates are in the correct sequential order (1, 2, 3, 4) relative to the printer, keeping the inlets and outlets aligned for neat PTFE runs and with no tube crossing required!
Two variants here: the "regular" one extends the bracket arms a bit so that the filament inlets and outlets line up along the y axis. The compact version preserves the 1234 order but outlets will be offset.

It is intended to be mounted to a 30mm square profile of some sort with tolerance. A quick and dirty mounting solution is included, both with a surface mount and without. I use a printed M10 nut and bolt to hold it together.

As currently implemented, you need to assemble and set the height of the mount before clipping the feeders on, and the feeders need to be removed before disassembling to adjusting height. Not ideal, but it gets the job done. I'm working on an improved mount, and eventually a printer-mounted version similar to the base model I used for the remix.

Print specs:  Most common rigid materials should be fine. I used PLA with Voron specs (5 layers topshell/bottomshell/4 walls; 40% grid infill) though this is probably overkill.

Also needed:

-M10 nut/bolt, printed is fine, or some other vaguely cylindrical 10mm object (if using the included mount)

-2x GH1.25-15P extension cables for feeders

-IMPORTANT! If you end up cutting the feeder-to-printer PTFE tubes to fit (seems likely!) you will want to adjust the prefeed settings. Paxx12 firmware allows you to do this easily and persistently. Create a file entitled "feeders.cfg" in /extended/klipper . Below are the stock settings. Paste these in.

[filament_feed left]
preload_length: 950
[filament_feed right]
preload_length: 950

If you're cutting your tubes, measure the amount of PTFE you cut off in millimeters, and subtract that value from 950. For example, if you cut 150mm of PTFE from each tube, you would subtract 150 from 950, to arrive at 800. This is your new preload_length value. Here is "800" as an example. Put in your own value:

[filament_feed left]
preload_length: 800
[filament_feed right]
preload_length: 800

You can optionally round up by a couple mm if desired or needed. This setting controls how much filament is fed when ramming it into the toolheads during a filament change. Save and reboot, and you're good to go!

I don't run stock firmware, so I cannot speak to how best to change that setting for stock, but this is discussed in other remote-feeder models.

Hope someone finds this useful!
