This is a hard case for the SwissMicros DM42 Calculator. The hinge design permits access to the USB and IR Printer ports when opened.
Print instructions
The case is held closed by four 6mm diameter by 2.75mm thick rare earth magnets. The hinge mechanism is held together by 2mm steel rod.
Printed at 0.15mm Layer Height with No Supports.
The print shown in the photos was made with Atomic Pearl Dark Cherry Red PLA. I printed the hinge in orange just to add detail to the photos.
The magnets were glued in with RTV. I may embed them in a future revision.
