1/4" Pegboard Screw Bit Holder

This screw bit holder attaches to 1/4" pegboard so you can store bits in a handy, accessible way. There are 2 holder designs to choose from. One includes a pair of 3/8” holes to also store step drill bits or other tools as shown in the picture. The other holder is for screw bit storage only.

For storing short screw bits, drop a short bit spacer in the empty hole first. This will make the short bit stick out of the hole so you can easily grab it. There is a spud on top of the spacer so you can pull it out with tweezers later if desired.

The holders attach to the pegboard using 6 pins. Two pins are printed on top as part of the holder. Two other pins are printed separate and are to be glued into holes in the bottom of the holder. Pegboard hook locks hold these 4 pins against the pegboard as shown in the pictures.

The last 2 pins are also printed separate. They are to be glued into holes in the back of the holder and fit into holes in the pegboard.

For some reason on my printer, the printed pin diameters were not very close to the model diameters. It was necessary to iterate on model diameter to produce pins that were a good fit in the holder holes. Be sure to unlock size in the slicer as indicated in the picture to avoid changing the pin length.

The plastic pegboard hook locks are available on Amazon. There are a lot of choices and probably any of them will work.

Print parameters I used:

Nozzle: 0.4mm for all parts

Material: PETG (preferred) or PLA

Layer height: 0.3mm for holders, 0.1mm for pins

Infill: 20% for holders, solid for pins
