I regularly swap pedals between several bikes in our family, changing between flat pedals and SPD pedals depending on the ride.
To avoid seized pedal threads, I always apply a small amount of grease to the pedal axle threads. That makes future removal easy, but it also means that every removed pedal has a greasy threaded end waiting to stain anything it touches.
After getting tired of wrapping pedals in paper towels, bags, or rags, I designed this simple protective cap.
The cap covers the threaded end of a standard bicycle pedal axle, keeping grease where it belongs and helping to keep toolboxes, bags, shelves, car interiors, and other equipment clean.

Compatibility
Designed for standard 9/16" bicycle pedal threads, used on most modern flat and clipless pedals.
Printing
I printed mine in TPU, which provides a nice flexible friction fit and makes installation effortless.
Other materials such as PETG, PLA, ASA or ABS should also work, although fit may depend slightly on individual printer tolerances.
