Balcony doors often hang several centimeters above the balcony floor, so a normal wedge has nothing to grip. This block stands on the floor and captures the door's bottom edge in a slot. The door cannot swing in either direction without lifting the block out. Holds against wind both ways.
Usage: open the door to the desired position and slide the block onto the bottom edge from the door's free end. Slide it off to release. A rubber pad glued to the underside prevents creeping on smooth concrete.

The slot should sit a few mm below the door edge so the block slides on freely. Measure the gap where the door will be held open rather than at the threshold, since balcony floors often slope.
