Project: Custom ASRock BC-250 ITX Case Design

This design is inspired by the BeamCase SFF, a modular ITX case system by BeamCase_Design, and was built from the ground up for the ASRock BC-250 (a PS5 APU-based mining card). While the general concept of combining 3D-printed parts with Makerbeam XL (15x15mm aluminum extrusion) profiles was used as inspiration, every part was modeled from scratch to fit the BC-250's unique form factor.

Key Features

  • Mainboard mounting points: Designed around the actual dimensions of the BC-250 card (not standard ITX).

  • IO bracket / rear panel: Custom-fit to the BC-250's port layout.

  • PSU connection point: Custom pass-through/mounting point for a Metalfish 500W Flex ATX PSU and custom-built PCIe/power cables.

  • Cooler bracket: Custom-designed mount for an Arctic Liquid Freezer III AIO with a dual mixed-size fan shroud, housing one 80mm and one 120mm fan.

Print Notes

  • Frame parts: Should be printed in a heat-resistant material (PETG, or preferably ABS), with at least 4 walls / 35% infill.

  • Shrinkage Compensation: Account for material shrinkage (for ABS, ~100.5% scaling is recommended).

  • Panel Mesh Technique: The panels consist of two parts in each STL. To print the fan grill/mesh pattern:

  • Use the "split to parts" function in your slicer.

  • Reduce the Top Layers and Bottom Layers of the inner part to 0.

  • This allows only the infill to be printed, acting as a mesh.

  • For optimal airflow, use an infill percentage between 12-18% (12-16% is recommended for a grid pattern).

  • Panel Material: These parts are primarily aesthetic and can be printed in any material you prefer. However, be aware that in rare cases, PLA panels can deform under high exhaust air temperatures. Accurate printing is required for a perfect fit, so please consider shrinkage settings carefully.
