This was my attempt at making a convenient way to pre-measure and store single doses of coffee beans. Vials are pulled from the bottom and returned to the top so everything nicely cycles through with there always being a new vial to grab.
This was designed around these specific glass vials, which are roughly 30mm in diameter and 100mm in length. I chose these containers as they are just about perfect for fitting 16-18g of coffee without too much excess space. If there's enough interest, I'll take the time to clean up the original CAD files to make it easy for others to change the parameters to fit their desired container size and count.
Printing and Assembly
All pieces should import with the correct orientation for ideal printing and do not require any supports.
A brim is recommended for the flap since it is printed upright to best match the surface finish of the surrounding parts
The side wall piece has a sacrificial bridging layer over the screw holes that needs to be cut out or can be punched through with the screws during assembly.
Assembly requires five M3x5-10mm screws.
I use two ~25mm sections of filament as the pins for the flap hinge and flush cut them down to size after assembly (the yellow pins in the exploded assembly image below). The holes are modeled as 2mm, but printed results may vary. I use a 1.75mm drill bit in a pin vise to ream them to the correct size if they're too small. You can also use the hole compensation option in the slicer to adjust things as needed for your printer.
