Universal chamber heater

This project involves working with mains voltage (220V). Please take all necessary safety precautions and ensure your soldering connections are properly insulated. Mains voltage is unforgiving—only proceed if you are confident in your electrical skills.

Print Settings & Materials

Because this is an active heater housing, standard filaments will warp or melt.

• Required Materials: High-HDT (Heat Deflection Temperature) engineering filaments. Glass-filled nylon (like PA6-GF), ASA, or high-temp ABS blends are strongly recommended.

• Perimeters/Walls: 3

Bill of Materials (BOM)

• Heater Core: 100W PTC Heater (95 x 31 x 26 mm)

• Blower Fan: 7530 Blower Fan. (Note: You can use a native 220V fan, or a 12V fan paired with a 220V-to-12V step-down converter).

• Thermal Cutoff: KSD9700 Thermal Switch (Normally Closed, 10A 250V). A 130°C switch is recommended, but 115°C will also work perfectly fine.

• Temperature Controller: XH-W3001 (220V)

• Power Input: AC-005 or AC-006

• Power Cord: Standard Figure-8 AC Cable

• Computer case fan screws.

Post-Processing & Installation

1. Clear the wire channels: After the print finishes, snap out the built-in support wall inside the KSD wire channel. You should also cut the top bridge above it to allow for much easier cable routing.

2. Mount the thermistor: When wiring the temperature controller, mount the thermistor probe near the top of your printer's enclosure, ideally around maximum nozzle height. Ensure the probe is suspended in the air and not touching the chamber walls to guarantee accurate ambient temperature readings.
