Remix - Prusa Core One Screw Tray
I have done next to nothing to the tray itself. Great design, why fix what isn't broken? Just for my own aesthetic appreciation I've added 1.5 mm to the back wall, which was thinner than the sides or front. Sorry can't help myself.
The labels too are excellent. In my case (PETG under standard profile on the Core One 0.4mm) I simply needed to sand each end of each label very slightly to get a precision tight fit. In the pictures the labels are in their slots, no adhesive used or required. I have not reproduced the label files here. Please use the originals.
Being a klutz, and expecting the INDX upgrade to take me more than one session, I could just see an open tray, laying there waiting to be knocked and tiny screws all over the show, so I devised a 'safety' cover. Making just a lid would be asking for trouble, one catch on the way off and again a 5-hour 'liberated' screw hunt. So its a drawer case (as in furniture drawer). I made it 1mm bigger than the tray to minimise the chance of sticking. To help it open there's a finger hole at the back so's you can give it an assistive poke. There's a cutout at the front to allow a simple two-finger grip on the tray. I removed the bulk of the underside of the case as it doesn't add any functionality. It can (see picture) be flipped and the tray re-inserted during use to keep it tidy.
To enable a visual appreciation that there are contents, I printed it in transparent PLA. If you want a glass-like finish then I'll leave you to play slicer settings for that (probably slow extrusion and a six-hour print for best affect). All wall thicknesses are 2mm, use that to set perimeters. I increased perimeters and thus reduced infill except in the back wall. Since the case is printed back-wall down (think vertically), see picture, there was no need for supports, there's enough area here too for safe attachment to the build plate so no brim either.
