I've used this slicer "hack" to make custom air vents and filters before and it works great! 🙌 So when the Pool Accessories Contest was announced, I immediately thought of this! It has been tested and verified and works great and better than expected! ✔
I DO NOT recommend using any "cool plates" or "frosty - glacier - ice" style plates as they may ruin the net portion of the model. Please use textured PEI or other easy-to-release style plates.
I DO recommend using the .3MF files which have all the print settings necessary for the this model built-in.
If you choose to use the .STL files and slice this yourself, start with the skimmer file first, right-click on the skimmer model and add modifier, choose the modifier.stl file as your modifier, and on that modifier, set your top and bottom layers to 0 and infill to 20% rectilinear (or whichever style and density you want).
