First of all, for commercial reasons this can NOT be called Magsafe, being trademarked by Apple, we go by the name Qi2, published by the WPC.

I choosed to make phone hardware because 90% of people here dont actually have a professional DLSR or mirrorless camera at home, but their phone carries a lot of potential for great shots.

Having created 4 potential models to fit one phone and not multiple, I saw magnets to be the sweetspot for a phone holder, being iPhone 12 and up compatible thus having to not make a different mounting system for each phone and potentially being compatible with other brands.

This model is a prototype, I have not figured out thread sizes to be perfectly compatible due to tolerance reasons. The whole Model can be printed and after adding a magnet ring youre set to explore any other potential.

For compatible attachments, I have created a mini nd filter ring to be slid into the kb mini rail canal, this works great but needs tweaking and an actual filter.

The kb mini rail can be screwed in with the little screws I created to fix them in place.

Another thing I added is a nato rail with the ARRI 3/8'' letthrough for a double screw to hold them together and adding a handle on a side.

The backplate is (in theroy) compatible with existing hardware from Kondor blue, like the Anti Twist NATO Clamp and the USB-C Media Hub

So, this is my interpretation of equipment that can save time and make mobile gear less complicated.

Last but not least, may God bless the Autodesk team for Tinkercad, this is my first project and their software made it really easy for me to get into creating stuff out of thin air and imagination.

Parts were printed on my Prusa i3mk2, Petg for the camera lens, rest was Azurefilm PLA red wine, 50% infill gyroid 0.15mm preset and ironing.

Leave a like if you enjoy my stuff :)
